GHHA Sections IX and X The annual meeting was held on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Great Hills Baptist Church. President Ken Shipp called the meeting to order at 1915. The following Board members were present: Michael Wright, Richard Honey, Adrienne Seiler, Warren Schack and Rod Russell. Total number of homeowners present at meeting was 26. The time and location of our annual meeting was changed from December and Triumphant Love Lutheran Church to January and Great Hills Baptist Church to improve the attendance at our meeting. One month advanced written notice of the meeting time change was given to all homeowners as declared in our Covenants. The minutes of the 2004 meeting were read and approved by voice vote. Ken Shipp addressed a few of the issues outstanding from the 2003 meeting. Austin Police Officer John Nelson our Northwest District Neighborhood
Representative gave a presentation on the crime statistics for the Norwest
Command, which our neighborhood falls within. Parking your car on the street and not in your driveway increases car theft and vandalism. Criminal mischief increases at the beginning and end of the school year, Halloween and Spring Break. Our Great Hills Park curfew is 1030. If you see anyone entering after this hour please call 911. Park police are ultimately responsible. To investigate crime stats within your address visit: www.cityofaustin.org/police
and search your address. Richard Honey, Treasurer presented the financial report. Current assets are $33,519.72. The budget for 2006 is $2,500 which was voted on and approved. New to the budget this past year was Community Programs which includes New Neighbors welcome gifts, Block Captain regrouping party and New Neighbors/ACC reception. It was prospected that is would be at least another 15 years before we would need to assess the neighborhood again. Adrienne Seiler, Secretary reported that there were 25 resale/transfers for 2005. We collected $2,500. Currently, five homes are on the market, three of which already have contracts pending. Warren Schack, ACC Chairman reported that there were 21 approvals and 8 compliance issues for 2005. The ACC involved Block Captains, made personal phone calls and knocked on doors to resolve ACC issues. Non-compliance letters were used only as a last resort to contact homeowners. An appeal was made to enlist new Board Members and recruitment efforts
will continue during the current year. Interested parties please contact
current Board Members if interested. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM.
